I – Investment
An Investment ‘mindset’ is key to being successful within the Investor Finance model. You will be constantly dealing with active property investors, so you will need to understand the fundamentals of investing. It is important for you to think outside the square and understand the mind-sets of both single and multi-property investors.
N – Numeracy
Having a flair for numbers is an advantage in this industry. You don’t have to be a mathematician, however the greater your numeracy and organizational skills, the easier you will find it to deal with clients and structure their portfolio. Being able to break down a deal into its parts and explain a solution to your clients is paramount for your success in this industry.
N – Nurture
While our core business is writing loans, our true position is that of a mentor or coach. We guide our clients through their investing journey through answering their “what ifs” and keeping them informed. You need to be passionate about helping others to grow in their investing.
V – Vibe
We are passionate about property and passionate about people. We look for the those individuals who not just share this passion, but it is visible. As a sales based organisation our strategists have the capacity to share passion, enthusiasm and knowledge to win the respect and trust of their clients.
E – Equity
As you build your business you must ensure you have enough funds to get you through to the stage where you are earning an appropriate amount to support your lifestyle. Although many Strategists achieve good returns much earlier, we recommend having enough equity or cash available to support your joining fees, resources and lifestyle for 6-12 months.
S – Sales
Knowing how to sell yourself and the solutions you create is how you will win your client’s business. Being able to sell yourself to local businesses will win you affiliates, and therefore clients. You must have the capacity to build and grow your circle of influence. Confidence and the ability to build long term relationships are key to being a successful Finance Strategist.
T – Tenacity
You will need to be prepared to go the extra mile for your clients. Do not take no for an answer. Persistence is key. Fight every battle with success in mind.
T – Trip
Ability to handle the ups and downs of this role is very important. You will experience many highs and lows through your career, especially in the initial stages, and you need to be able to manage these. The advantage of joining IF is that we are there with you – to lift you up during the lows and celebrate with you when things go well.
