One of the greatest benefits in becoming a Licensee with Investor Finance is the residual or trail income you generate as you work with like-minded individuals who are on the investment journey just like you. The banks pay us as Finance Brokers an upfront income when you settle a loan for your client and, importantly, they pay us an ongoing income stream for the life of the loan being managed by you, the Licensee. This income stream ensures that each month, as you grow your business, the passive income continues to grow generating an annuity style asset.

In addition you can earn income from a number of other streams by being part of a larger, diversified business group. Investor Finance is owned by Reign Financial Pty Ltd which owns another brand, Investor Insured, and is also part of the Reign Group of companies. The Reign Group owns other complimentary businesses including Investor Property and Investor Networx. This means that as a Licensee you can offer access to the numerous services needed by your client (such as property sourcing, education and risk insurance) knowing that they are being looked after by like-minded professionals while earning generous referral fees at no additional cost to the client.

Another great benefit of the Reign Group is a single vision and leadership. The Directors, Kristyn Usher (a former multiple branch owner, field support officer and several times Strategist of the year) and Mal Cayley (former General Manager) ensure the cohesiveness and cross referral activity of the Group.

Background

Investor Finance is a finance broking company with Strategists (our specialist finance brokers) located across Australia. Our Support Office is located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

Founded in February 2004, the brand was purchased by Reign Financial Pty Ltd in 2008 who restructured the business to meet industry changes as a result of the Sub-prime Crisis and subsequent Global Financial Crisis.

Rebuilt for the new era in finance, the model allows for a high degree of support and an improved earning capacity for Strategist Licensees.

Reign Financial (trading as Investor Finance) is a full member of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA – formerly the MIAA). While we are seen to be in the general mortgage broking market, put simply, Investor Finance is focused on the business of finance for property investors. Our typical clients are investors with multiple properties, as well as those just entering the residential property investment market (we do of course look after first home buyers and those only looking to purchase a home to live in).

An Investment ‘mindset’ is key to being successful within the Investor Finance model. You will be constantly dealing with active property investors, so you will need to understand the fundamentals of investing.

It is important for you to think outside the square and understand the mind-sets of both single and multi-property investors.

N – Numeracy

Having a flair for numbers is an advantage in this industry. You don’t have to be a mathematician, however the greater your numeracy and organizational skills, the easier you will find it to deal with clients and structure their portfolio. Being able to break down a deal into its parts and explain a solution to your clients is paramount for your success in this industry.

N – Nurture

While our core business is writing loans, our true position is that of a mentor or coach. We guide our clients through their investing journey through answering their “what ifs” and keeping them informed. You need to be passionate about helping others to grow in their investing.

Knowing how to sell yourself and the solutions you create is how you will win your client’s business. Being able to sell yourself to local businesses will win you affiliates, and therefore clients. You must have the capacity to build and grow your circle of influence. Confidence and the ability to build long term relationships are key to being a successful Finance Strategist.

You will need to be prepared to go the extra mile for your clients.

Do not take no for an answer. Persistence is key. Fight every battle with success in mind.

T – Trip

Ability to handle the ups and downs of this business is very important. You will experience many highs and lows on your business journey, especially in the initial stages, and you need to be able to manage these.
